Early this year I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, luckily it was Stage 1 and very small. It was not picked up by self check but by mammogram that I had put off for 12mths. I was told by my surgeon that it may not have been found if I had done my mammogram on time. This is not me advocating for putting it off just that you need to check regularly. I will need to be more diligent in checking now more than ever.
1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
That is why I am hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast event this October to raise vital funds for breast cancer research and help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
