Autodesk ANZ Pink Ribbon Brunch

This one is close to my heart having gone through my own Breast Cancer journey, as well as watching four aunties and my dad's best friend who is male, also go through this horrible disease in the last 5 years. I will continue to work to raise awareness, so anyone who sees this, does a self examination, or pays attention to changes in their body, not just for breast cancer but any cancer. If anything doesn't feel quite right, you know your body best, go get checked. I am also an Ambassador for the NBCF and the work they do, sharing my story in different forums and events and research is so important. Today the 13th October, I visited my Oncologist for my check up, I have hit the 5 year mark since diagnosis which is fantastic, as the cancer I have, HER-2 positive and hormone positive, can reoccur, so hitting the 5 years since diagnosis has been a great milestone. Today I also learnt that I had completed my 5 year monthly Zoladex injections, so no more monthly visits to the Concord Cancer Centre for my injections, with my last one being Monday.

All great news, I will continue maintenance treatment via tablets daily for the next 5 years as well as regular scans and check ins with Oncologist, Radio Oncologist, Cardiologist1 and Surgeon.

This year, my colleagues and I are hosting a Pink Ribbon Brunch events across ANZ because we want to make a real difference to Australians affected by breast cancer. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that.
