Natalie's Pink Ribbon Brunch

Please support my Pink Ribbon Breakfast Event

1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

That is why I am hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast event this October to raise vital funds for breast cancer research and help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Please support me by either joining my Pink Ribbon Breakfast event or donating to my online fundraising page to help me reach my goal.

Together, we can stop deaths from breast cancer.

Why this charity? Why now?

Tuesday 24th Sep

As many of you know, I lost my mum to cancer in 2017.  Mum had bilateral breast cancer (aged 45 and 53), and terminal metastatic endometrial cancer (aged 55). She later died at the age of 56.

Since then, thanks to the amazing research and advances in genetic testing, I embark on my own preventative journey against breast (and related) cancers… with my next appointment with the Cancer Centre on the 16th of this month! Unlike so many I have been blessed with a Counsellor who provides me with what I call “what we know today” information and all my options so that I can act now and/or when I’m ready.

It’s been 7 years since mum passed and I finally feel ready to bring attention to our journey. It’s also time I give back to the amazing teams who looked after mum and now me!

So for the first time, I am going to be bold and do two fundraising activities:

1 - I am hosting a Pink Ribbon Brunch where we can come together as a community, share our journeys and make some donations! Come in your best Pinks!

2 - I have two Pink Hampers up for grabs for everyone here, with a raffle entry / ticket for every $5 donated. The first hamper is a kitchen hamper (RRP $500) and the second a bathroom hamper (RRP $300).

I want to make a real difference to Australians affected by breast cancer. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that.  Every dollar counts and keeps the research going that hopefully keeps me  and my breasts safe!

What $1000 can do!

Monday 23rd Sep
After day one and some wonderfully generous donations, we are already 12% of our way to the stretch goal of $1000! In terms of treatment for breast cancer, we already have chemo, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy and surgery as treatment options. But I’ve seen first hand how gruelling they can be for the person in their fight to get better. So we can’t stop there! Imagine if our $1000 donation does in fact support finding a less invasive and more effective treatment option. Wow! It could be truly powerful on a persons breast cancer journey and might just save a life!
