This year, my friend and I are hosting a Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea event because we want to make a real difference to Australians affected by breast cancer. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that. 

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia's leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research towards a vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

We believe world-class research is the best way to prevent deaths from breast cancer and can improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed, and treated.

Can I Make A Difference?

Often times, we feel discouraged to start and embark on endeavours we feel are overwhelming. Little do we know that within us is one great power. If fuelled even more with passion and the right motivation, we can truly make a difference.  The fears of rejection and failure may seem insurmountable.  But we have to go beyond those feelings and be bold enough to do the necessary.  And do you know just what it only takes? It is that first small baby step my friends.  

This is my first ever Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea for the benefit of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  I have partnered with a great friend and colleague who shares the same sentiments when it comes to health, especially those affecting women more.  We were at work and was catching up with life events when we realized our stories were having a common theme - people we know or friends of friends are getting sick at a stage no one ever could sometimes imagine.  One of these sad realities is breast cancer.  It dawned on us that us, as women of certain age, we are expectedly exposed and naturally susceptible to this life threatening disease.  Thus, we mutually decided we want to pursue this project.  We hope that organizing this simple and wholesome event will create a channel of information, support and bond among women and men alike (yes because this cancer does not discriminate).

We are knocking on your generous hearts to donate and support us on this effort.  There is no small or big thing when it comes to help.  Everything makes a difference.  And yes, so can you. Do not ever forget that.
