Vicki & Ebby's Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea

Please support our Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea Event

1 in 7 Women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. Breast Cancer does not only effect Women but also Men, although stats show its about 1 in 700 for the men.

Like most families not only have we had Aunties with Cancer, some having mastectomies and one having passed. But on a more personal note, just recently, my Sister Tania who is 65, has been diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 3 Breast Cancer.

Tania had her regular Breast screening back in February this year, which came back clear. Then in July after experiencing occasional vibrating feelings in her left breast, noting that her mobile phone was not in her bra at the time, she pressed on her breast and found a lump. After visiting her GP and then having a referral for a Mammogram and Ultrasound it came back the lump was

indicative of a primary breast carcinoma. A biopsy then confirmed the diagnosis.

My sister is an RN who still swears by Mammograms but also encourages women to self examine in between times and if they have any concerns see their GP immediately.

This is why Ebonee and I are hosting a Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tee event 29th October at the Hub at 2.30pm. Funds raise are vital for breast cancer research and help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from Breast Cancer.

Please support us by either joining our Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea event or donation to our online fundraising page to help us reach our goal of $1500.00

Together, we can stop deaths from Breast Cancer.
