My mums story

In Australia over 15,000 woman are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and in 2019 my mum was one of them, that is my why. She went though breast surgery, where they had to take her whole breast to make sure it does not spread to any where else in her body. She then had to go through months of intensive chemo therapy and then the effects of the chemo for years. The whole family had to watch her go through all of this, trying to help and support her in all the ways we could. My Brother and I were still in school at the time, trying to understand school as well trying to help our mum with all that we could help with.

We've made a pledge to GO PINK!

Did you know that every day 56 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people die from this disease?

Hi, our names are Vanessa and Sophie, and this June, we’ve made a pledge to COLOUR IT and dye our hair pink to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research, helping NBCF move closer towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

This cause is especially close to our hearts, as Sophie’s mum had breast cancer and so she has seen firsthand how it can impact everyone’s lives.

Breast cancer impacts so many lives, and we want to do our part to support the incredible research that brings hope to patients and families every day.

Please support our GO PINK pledge to help save lives and make a real difference. Any donation, big or small, truly means so much to us.

Together, let’s make Zero Deaths from breast cancer possible
