Primepower Queensland
Today, and every day, 58 Australians will hear the words "you have breast cancer." Today, we stand united — in strength, in remembrance, in hope. At Primepower Queensland, we are proud to host this Breast Cancer Breakfast to raise funds, show our support, and honour the fighters, the survivors, and the lives lost too soon. We dedicate this morning to: 💗 Those in treatment – your courage inspires us. 💗 Survivors – your strength lights the way forward. 💗 Those we've lost – your memory lives on in every step we take toward a cure. 💗 Families, friends, and carers – your love is a lifeline. Together, we believe in a future where no one dies from breast cancer. Let’s fund the research. Let’s wear pink with purpose. Let’s stand for the 58 today — and the many more we can save tomorrow.

Our family has recently been touched by Breast Cancer - I have Gone Pink for my Mum, who has bravely survived the difficult treatment. She is one of the lucky ones to benefit from the medical cancer research in recent years. Give generously to the NBCF.

ADRIENNE MARSON
Ive been through my own personal fight against this disease and know first hand how far we've come with research but we're still so far away... Having to have fought this on my own during covid was the hardest thing i have ever had to do and the i am still carrying the trauma with me today. So glad i am here today to share my story, but the effects that it had not only on my but my family are still raw....

I have gone pink to support our daughter who has been fighting Triple Negative Untyped breast cancer for nearly 2 years Megan is now 44 and had her right breast removed at the start of this journey which then metastasised and spread to her lungs. They have tried everything to stop this cancer and started a trial on the 30th of January 2024,we are having some sucesss as the tumours have struck by 32% but the side effects have been challenging and they have suspended her treatment for the last month. Megan is the strongest person we know and we believe she will beat this incideous disease and hopefully what money l raise will help find a cure for the thousands of people who are diagnosed each year.💞💞💞

Jeanette
I am going pink to help raise funds for continuing research into this insidious disease, Breast Cancer. I have had a niece who fought very hard, but lost her fight, a friend who lost her daughter, who was Mum to a young daughter herself lose the fight after going through so much treatment and turmoil, a friend who survived breast cancer 8 years ago only to be taken by a different cancer early this year. Then I myself was diagnosed with breast cancer after a mammogram last August. I had no showing symptoms so lucky that I was regular with my mammograms. For myself I had a lower grade of this cancer, but this could have been so much worse if I neglected to have my mammograms. Thinking of all the strong women (and men) who have had, those who are going through this now and those who may go through this in the future 🩷🩷

I'm making a pledge for my Mum. Last year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a very scary time for all of us. Thankfully, she was able to get her breast removed and all the cancer gone, but if she'd found out any later, the cancer would've spread to her other breast and possibly to her other organs. That's why it's so important that money is raised for breast cancer, so that people can keep being diagnosed and treated💓

Michelle Mason
I'm going pink because I've had a few family members who have fought this and, thankfully, come through the other side.

I’m going Pink to share my gratitude to all those that came before me (my mother, my friends, and strangers), who in some way have contributed to the knowledge of Breast cancer and helped create better treatments which I am now benefiting from. I hope that my experience will contribution to help those that will come after me.

Tessa Pacini
I'm Going PINK to support the best mum in the world 🌎 💓.

You and all my ancestors live on in our family’s memories, we will carry on with respect for our elders and continue to cherish the land that we were brought up on. As the birds sing I think of you As I peer into their loving eyes A sense of peace washes over me I sense you Flying with the birds And I love you I feel you all around me A warm breaze is a comforting embrace A pink sky is an invigorating message of hope You are here beside me now You are everywhere You are the universe Angelina Rose Bonar In lovingly memory of Angelina Mary Mills 🩷

Georgie amos
I’m a triple negative breast cancer survivor, and trust me, this cancer was not expecting the fight it got. I was lucky enough to get into a clinical trial for treatment — chemo, immunotherapy, radiation, lumpectomy — lost my hair, got my battle scars, and kicked cancer’s ass harder than a kangaroo on steroids. This June, I’m going full pink, every single day, because pink isn’t just a color, it’s a mood, a movement, and the perfect way to show cancer who’s boss.... who da boss... Cancer might have tried to steal my hair, but it didn’t steal my sense of humor (or my sass). The money raised goes directly towards research that helped pay for my treatment — and will help others get the same fighting chance. So please donate, because saving second base is serious business. And hey, if you can’t donate, just share this message and spread the pink love. Giving cancer the boot, one bright pink day at a time

Nikki
My mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and it hit me extremely hard. She is now in remission and has been for a few years. We’re so very lucky that we have great research, support and services here in WA for people suffering with Breast Cancer. We need to keep investing money into research to hopefully save more lives. This is a great cause and I never thought I’d ever dye my hair pink in my life but this is truly for a great cause.

Kaiden

I'm wearing pink daily this month in remembrance of my lovely Aunty and all those battling and who have battled.

Kez Teague
I Go Pink for the fighters, the survivors, the ones lost in battle, and those they left behind 🩷 I myself am a survivor, and also one who was left behind, by my beautiful mother who was lost in battle. I have a deep understanding of the damage Breast Cancer causes to lives, how rough treatment is, how hard it can be to hold hope, the fear of the cancer returning after remission. How hard it is to watch loved ones go through treatment, the sadness when they have given all they can to the fight. The funds raised for Breast Cancer Research changes lives. Breast Cancer should not be a death sentence. Research has come so far over the years, however, improvements still need to be made, treatment and the long term side effects need to be better. Together we can make a difference 🩷🩷🩷

I am going pink to raise awareness and help prevent, detect, and avoid reoccurance of breast cancer. Since being diagnosed in 2020 I have met too many others who have lost, survived, or are still fighting and I want to help find a cure. Together we really can make a difference x

Serpil Erdogan
As soon as I was diagnosed with breast cancer I staright away wanted to do something and signed up with GO PINK. I joined the breast cancer fundraiser because I believe in the power of community and compassion to make a real difference. Breast cancer affects millions of people—mothers, daughters, sisters, friends—and no one should have to face it alone. Whether it’s through raising funds for research, supporting survivors, or honoring those we’ve lost, I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. This cause is personal, and contributing to it gives me hope that together, we can move closer to a cure. I also held a breast cancer awareness breakfast and raised a whooping $9810 through auctioned items and raffle prizes.

I am always inspired by the women who fight breast cancer and win. From the most brutal time of your life, you find a strength that carries you through that makes everyone else's issues so irrelevant, and that strengthens us all.

Beck

Breast cancer is incredibly close to my heart. Both my Aunty and Nan were diagnosed just months apart last year. My Aunty fought hard and is now in remission, her strength has been inspiring. My beautiful Nan is still fighting 15 months on, and she amazes us every single day with her courage and resilience. This June, I’m going PINK in honour of them, and in support of everyone affected by breast cancer.

Keep fighting, you are amazing x

Maz Y
I lost my dad and two aunts to cancer and I never thought One year ago I would have had to go through breast cancer.. This journey is a difficult and hard one, and doing it alone shatters your will at times, but I want to say that you will find faith and guidance where you can to battle this cancer, your strength pushes you to get through it. I have finished treatment and now in remission, trying to get back in a different normal, the fear of reoccurrence is there but you just need to keep going day after day. You just have to hold strong, and push through everything this will throw at you. We do need to have more help and support groups with survivorship after cancer as well and the journey through cancer. For the many women and men that go through cancer, I prayer that there is a cure one day soon for this terrible disease.

Angie
Anyone who thinks they are not enough, not able make a difference, or strong enough to beat a demon. Just know you are not alone, ever. There is a community, of women and family who have been where you are Just yell loud enough, so you can be found, and then you will be held and supported until you say when Xx

In honor of the brave souls who have fought, are fighting, or have lost their battle with breast cancer, your strength, courage, and spirit continue to inspire us every day. You are never forgotten, always loved, and endlessly admired. Together, we hold hope for a cure and a future without this disease.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer on the 4th of June last year, Thanks to early detection, I received chemotherapy and surgery at Royal Perth Hospital, to whom I am eternally grateful. I am thrilled to share the wonderful news that the cancer is now gone! I am reaching out to all my family and friends to help raise funds for breast cancer research. To show my support, I have pledged to go pink for the entire month of June by wearing pink and getting my hair dyed pink, with a huge thanks to Hair by Kelly for doing this complimentary. Additionally, I am holding a raffle to raise funds and would like to express my gratitude to my daughter Natasha Kiikoro and my work colleague Natasha Seoung for donating prizes for the raffle. Westside Auto Wholesale, my employer and second family who have stood by me wholeheartedly throughout my journey, is amazingly supporting me. They are encouraging the staff to wear pink on the 4th of June 2025, marking one year since my diagnosis. The administration, deliveries and service departments are getting decorated pink. The website will subtly turn pink in places, email signatures will change to pink and feature the QR code, and they are also placing pink balloons on the cars with a huge breast cancer awareness banner hanging in the middle of the shed. To thank Westside Auto Wholesale for all their support throughout my journey, I will be holding a small morning tea on the 4th of June. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my stepdaughter Sophie Harris and my friend and work colleague Yvonne Brunalli for donating their time to help me organize this event. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

In September 2023 i went for a regular Mammogram, 2 weeks later i was told i have, Pre-Cancer in my breast, called DCIS,i had surgery to remove the cells and had 5 sessions of Radiation,i have also had 2 friends go through Breast Cancer, so i am hoping to raise some money

As a 16 year Mo Bro, I would paint my Mo pink for the last week of Movember to say thanks to all my Mo Sistas who have supported me over the years but to also raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Around 4 years ago, I grew my hair back and from then on, my hair and moustache have been permanently pink. Go Pink for me is something that I do everyday. Doing what I do generates lots of looks but if it gets someone talking about it and getting themselves checked out, then I know what I am doing is working. I will never stop how I look, it will be a part of me always.

Tania Marie
I am fundraising for the women before me, and for the women who will sadly still come after me. For those who will need to walk this journey but will discover how strong and brave, and so very loved they are. The journeys continue...

Loretta
In 2023, I joined a sisterhood I never expected to be part of. When I heard the words 'breast cancer,' my world shifted - but I wasn't alone. I stood on the shoulders of countless strong individuals who walked this path before me, who showed me that courage wears many faces. Now, it's my turn to make a difference. This fundraiser isn't just my story - it's for the warriors who came before me, whose strength lights the way. And most importantly, it's for those who will face this journey tomorrow. Every dollar raised is a step toward better treatments, earlier detection, and ultimately, a world where breast cancer diagnosis doesn't change lives like it changed mine. Together, we can turn hope into action. Because while cancer may have started this story, it doesn't get to write the ending. We do. ✨💪"

Rebecca
I'm supporting this because my mum had Brest cancer last year and how it effected her and how brave she is.

Sami
Anyone that has gone through breast cancer I have immense respect for. You are all so wonderfully brave and strong. Your worlds get turned upside down but you always fight through. It is something I have always admired and will continue to. To everyone going through breast cancer treatment right now, just know you are supported, respected and loved always!

Jo
Always remembered Sue

I just wanna say how brave and proud of everyone who’s gone through, has gone, or has been lost to this devastating battle. While I personally haven’t been affected, I believe with every ounce of my soul that you guys have got this and can beat this! Reading people’s stories and not being able to do more to help is a hard position to be in but I know you are in good hands with the professionals and I hope the awareness and donations that get made can help make a difference. I truly wish everyone the best 🩷

Knowing a few people whose lives have been affected by cancer is a few too many 💔 Sending love, strength, and prayers to anyone suffering and to all of the family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, *communities* supporting them - we're all in this fight together 🌷 (For B, S and S 💗 )

We are all in this together. With the help and support of everyone we have got this.

Lexi
Its been just over two years since the moment everything changed for me. Since the word cancer carved its way into my life. I’m no longer in active treatment. There are no more hospital chairs, no more beeping machines, no more weekly appointments that blur into each other. But the truth is—cancer doesn’t pack up and leave just because treatment ends. The physical battle might be over, but the emotional one? The one where you wake up trying to remember who you were before, where every ache makes you pause, where the mirror reflects someone new—that battle is still ongoing. They don’t talk about this part enough. The after. The invisible weight 'survivors' carry every day. This June, I'm going pink and raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Because too many of us—whether we’ve lived it, loved someone through it, or lost someone to it—know this story too well. If you’ve been touched by this disease in any way, if you’ve ever held someone’s hand through the darkness—then you know. Every dollar donated to this cause really is a hand reaching out to someone in their darkest hour, reminding them they’re not alone.

Annette Scougalll
You are not alone, many stand beside you. Love and light ✨️ going up for you.

My target was to raise $2,000 — and we did it! In fact, we exceeded it. What a fantastic team effort at our 2nd Annual Go Pink for Breast Cancer Research Morning Tea. As part of my commitment, I pledged to colour my hair and wear pink every day for the entire month of June — just 12 days to go! And honestly, any discomfort I’ve felt pales in comparison to the pain and uncertainty faced by those receiving a breast cancer diagnosis. This event is personal for me. When we held our first morning tea with my workplace last year, it was shortly after my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2024. Not long after, we learned that one of our Elders had also been diagnosed. It was on that day I decided to make this an annual tradition. My hope for the future is simple: continued progress in treatment options, early detection, and support systems. But most of all, I hope for a day when events like this are no longer necessary — when no one ever again has to hear the words no one expects to hear.
