Support my challenge to swim for breast cancer!
9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day.Â
2 years ago my mum was given the devastating news that she not only had breast cancer, but that it was worse than they originally thought. Mum was incredibly strong and was determined to come out of top, though, she had many days where she felt that the pain and sickness was all too much. While completing 16 weeks of chemotherapy, 30 days of radiation, plus another 12 weeks of chemotherapy, all littered with 4 surgeries and facing her biggest fear of losing her hair, mum continued on with her life as normal, many days you wouldn’t have known she was sick.Â
Mum now being cancer free, but still struggling with the side effects of her treatment, we breathe a little easier as a family, however mum lives in fear of her cancer’s return.Â
In honour of Mum, our cousin Emma (another breast cancer survivor), and all the women who weren’t as lucky and lost their battle, this November, Georgia and I are swimming for breast cancer to help raise funds for research to help save lives in the future.
Please make a donation to support our challenge and help end this devastating disease.Â
