Support me to GO PINK!

Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people die from this disease?

This June, I've made a pledge for our Race Team Hotzspeed Motorsport to wear PINK because it's not just a cancer that affects Women, Men can get breast cancer too! I personally have had a cancer scare and had surgery back in 2016. A cluster of lumps showed on an ultrasound and mammogram. Further core and fine needle Biopsy's (not pleasant) revealed I had Microcalcifications which are a common finding and while usually benign, they can also be an indicator of Breast Cancer. I had a lot of tissue removed which was benign but still a small few specs are still visible. So, every year I get a regular check up with my GP and a mammogram just to make sure there are no changes. That small spot thankfully is still unchanged and that's how I'd prefer it to stay.

My Race car has a Pink Race Harness for a reason to support Breast Cancer. My Husband Warren and sons Blake and Evan are my biggest supporters and even when my husband and son race my car, they wear the Pink race harness for me to show their support for Breast Cancer. I want to continue to race and enjoy a long and fulfilled life as many other women and men want to do. Helping to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research is a way we can all help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Please support my GO PINK pledge to save lives and make a difference and keep our loved ones with us to enjoy all the things in life we love to do.

Together, let's make Zero Deaths from breast cancer possible.

? GO PINK 2025 – A Personal Journey to Help End Breast Cancer

Friday 30th May

This year, I joined GO PINK 2025 to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a cause incredibly close to my heart. I initially set a goal to raise $500 – a goal that felt ambitious but achievable. And thanks to the kindness and generosity of friends, family, and colleagues, I’ve hit that target!

But I’m not stopping there.

I’m now upping the ante to $1,000, because the fight against breast cancer deserves every bit of support we can give. Without funding, we can’t do research – and without research, we can’t reach zero deaths from breast cancer. That’s the goal we’re all fighting for.

One moment on this journey stopped me in my tracks and reminded me exactly why I’m doing this.

My son and his partner, who are expecting their first child – my grandchild ? – donated $100 to my campaign. I was genuinely shocked and overwhelmed with emotion. I know how much $100 could go toward something for the baby, so I told my son that. But his response brought tears to my eyes.

“It’s ok, Mum. I know it’s something you’re close with. Money means nothing when it could help save a loved one.”

That’s what this is about. It’s not just about money – it’s about love, hope, and the chance to protect the people we care about. It’s about creating a future where our daughters, granddaughters, sisters, mothers, and friends don’t have to live in fear of this disease.

If you’ve already donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And if you haven’t yet, I’d love for you to be part of this journey. Every dollar makes a difference.

Let’s GO PINK together and help the National Breast Cancer Foundation move closer to their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer.

With love and gratitude,
Tammie ?
