Support my challenge to swim for breast cancer!

Hello everyone,

I am wanting to throw myself into the deep end and raise money for breast cancer by swimming 20km in the month of November.

Although I am recovering from having shoulder surgery earlier this year, and swimming that distance over the month may be a challenge, it is not even close to the challenges faced when someone is diagnosed with breast cancer.

So, why is this so important to me?

Last year I found a lump in my breast. The initial concern raised was not something I’d want any friends or family to experience. Fortunately upon testing it was confirmed that this lump was a Fibroadenoma (essentially a non cancerous mass). In the same week, my mother’s good friend Rosie also found a lump in her breast and went to have it tested. Unfortunately the results were not in her favour and she was told she had stage four breast cancer.

Rosie has children, a family, a career, life goals and aspirations just like any one of us, and within a week her life was flipped upside down.

So please support me, in supporting others.

9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day.

This November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and let’s make a splash to save lives together!

Thank you for your support.
