Support my challenge to swim for breast cancer!

9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day.

This November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loved ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

Goals achieved and to be honest, astronomically exceeded thanks to so much inspiration and a wonderful network of humans that donated. Incredibly rewarding to be able to contribute and be part of an amazing 4,200 strong group of wonderfully altruistic people. We raised over $1.3 million. Sending love and strength to all the families affected by breast cancer. Well done everyone, including the organisers of such a great campaign.

It has been so brilliant to witness the huge amount of support for this cause, which is so close to our, and many peoples, hearts. I clearly have so many wonderful humans in my network, as we are now the 10th best fundraiser. And our 4,000 swimmers across Australia have raised over $1.2 million combined. Your support is an inspiration, and having reached the 50km target last week, and 60km this early this morning in pouring rain at Brunswick outdoor pool, I am striving to now get to 70km now before the challenge ends on November 30. Thank you again, and it's not too late to spread the word and keep building the donations, as every dollar matters in this fight. 57 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer today, and such support can make a life changing difference for them.

Such a pleasure trying to help raise funds for this wonderful cause @nbcfaus Early this morning I completed my target of 50km in the water this month #swimforbreastcancer I'm very thankful for my network's amazing support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and maybe you can join me in the water next November? It's a cause so close to our families hearts, and hopefully together we can lower that figure of 9 deaths a day substantially soon. I’ll keep swimming. Donations are accepted right up to 30 November, so please keep spreading the word.

Saturday 16th Nov
A fabulous 24 hours. Firstly, our swimmers have now raised over $1million combined as of today All donations are special and incredibly appreciated, but yesterday a 14 year old donated heavily in honour of the great grandmother he lost to breast cancer. That is really something, as is all the relatives donations in honour of that lady, Nancy, who is the inspiration for my personal effort. What a special woman she was. Nearly 40km down, with 10.8km to go. A cracking Melbourne cup distance (3200m) swim at Eureka today in 30 degree sunshine, to break up watching Archer’s standard 12 hour day of Saturday junior and senior cricket.
