Swimming for Breast Cancer — Each Lap for Our Mum
This November, my sister Jess and I are swimming in memory of our mum, Kim, who passed away from breast cancer on 24 August 2022.
Mum loved swimming — it was her calm, and even on the hardest of days, she’d find the energy to move her body, and keep going.
To honour mum’s life, we’re taking part in Swim for Breast Cancer to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and support vital research to help save lives. When I’m swimming I feel close to mum, knowing I’m doing what she loved. Each lap will be for her.
Every day, nine Australians die from breast cancer.
Thank you for supporting our swim, helping to fund life-saving breast cancer research, and making a splash in Mum’s memory.
