Afternoon Tea at The Bower Tree Club

Well thats it. June is over and I am so thankful to all my friends and family and even some friends I haven’t met. So proud of the amount raised. We celebrated the month with an afternoon tea at our local club The Bower Tree with 12 ladies dressed in all their pinkness. Breast Cancer is so common and has such impact on so many people including the families of those diagnosed. 💖💓🌷💗💕💝🌸

Today is the last day of my PINK PLEDGE. I am so grateful to everyone who has donated and supported me in my Pledge. Special thanks to Sharon my hairdresser for making the hair pink. Wow can’t believe we raised over $2000!!!!!

What inspired me to take up the challenge?

Yes I was inspired to join the Go Pink Pledge by being a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed 2 years ago had 2 lumpectomy surgeries and radiation. I go to Bloomhill a local Cancer Wellness centre in Buderim for meditation and art therapy. I have made many friends who are also survivors of various ages. I have recently realised that there are 4 members of my family who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and yet they are all related to me by marriage not blood. And besides it's a good excuse to do something a little outrageous with my silver hair. Today is the big day for me so looking forward to it. 💗💗💗
