Four years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cysts, and because of that, I had to go to the hospital every six months for check-ups and mammograms. I did this consistently for two years.

At one stage, the doctors were concerned about my left breast, and I had to do a biopsy. It was a very stressful and scary time for me. I was extremely nervous while waiting for the results. Thankfully, the biopsy came back benign — everything was fine.

Around that time, I decided to make a change. I started exercising regularly. I began going to the gym consistently and made my health a priority.

After some time, my condition improved. My check-ups changed from every six months to once a year. Then my doctor told me, “Everything looks great. Congratulations — you can now come back every two years for a check-up.”

I was so happy and grateful.

Today, I want to use my voice to encourage other women who may be going through a similar situation: please take care of your body. Start exercising. Be consistent. Be patient.
