Hi all - I will be participating in the Coolangatta Gold surf lifesaving race on Saturday October 14 on the Gold Coast. The individual race comprises four legs - a 10.5km surfski, a 2km ocean swim, a 3km board paddle and a 5.5km sand run.
As part of this, I am setting myself a challenge to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and world-class breast cancer research.
Unfortunately, most of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. This cause means a great deal to me in particular as my girlfriend Alex’s mother battled and amazingly conquered breast cancer in recent years.
The NBCF is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.
I believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated.
