I'M SWIMMING FOR Nan

I’m swimming 30km this November for my Nan Gerry. I’m only 13 years old, and even though I didn’t see everything she went through, I know she fought through something incredibly tough, and she survived. That alone means more to me than I can explain. I’m so grateful she’s still here, still smiling, still being the Nan who makes me feel loved and safe. Even without witnessing her toughest moments, I’ve seen the strength she carries now. I’ve seen how much she means to our family, and I’ve felt how important she is in my life. Knowing she survived something so hard has shown me what real courage looks like, even at my age. It’s made me realise how lucky I am to still have her here, and how much I want to honour that. That’s why I’m taking on this huge challenge at just 13. Thirty kilometres is a lot, but it’s nothing compared to what she pushed through. Every stroke I take is for her, for her strength, for her survival, and for the love she’s always given me. Swimming this distance is my way of saying ‘thank you’ and showing her just how much she means to me. Love You Nan 🩷

This November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.
