I just found out one of my best friends has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We have been buds for more than 12 years, most of my adult life. There's so much we enjoy and have enjoyed together - boozy lunches, Techno parties, picnics in Sydney Harbour. Moving overseas and back again. Moving interstate. All the good and bad things that have been thrown our way.
We share a love for running, too. So while I can't be with her in Queensland right now, I've decided to run a 55km ultra trail (Summit Shoalhaven) in the Kangaroo Valley on November 28, 2020, and hopefully raise some funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
