I’ve made a pledge to GO PINK!
As everyone knows how important this is to my own heart or should I say breast.
I was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) in September last year. I wanted the best chance I could so by October opted for a Mastectomy of the left breast. While recovering I got the news that they had discovered a secondary cancer different to the DCIS and in October had to go for a 2nd surgery.
I am now 7 months post surgery and while it wasn’t a walk in park I am thankful to be alive and with my family and friends who have all stood behind me in every step of the way.
So I am doing this pledge to try and hopefully make another woman’s life a little bit better that is going through this horrible disease!!

This June, we've made a pledge to WEAR IT, SHAVE IT or COLOUR IT and raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
