Go pink for breast cancer

Saturday 16th May
Last year August, my life changed. I found a lump in my right breast. Very small and I wasn’t really worried. My husband urged me to see my Gp asap as I do have breast cancer in my family. I saw my Gp on the Tuesday, referred to the breast clinic on the Wednesday and diagnosed with breast cancer on the Thursday.  The following Wednesday , I saw a breast surgeon and I was booked for a lumpectomy for the next Wednesday. Surgery went well, the cancer was removed fully with 2 clear lymph nodes. A good outcome but I still had to have 16 rounds of radiation. It’s harder than it sounds. 
It’s been a long road, lots of tears, lots of thinking, fatigue, lots of disbelief but for now, I’ve made it out of the other side. Too many women are taken by this disease. Please go for your mammograms and do your self checks! It will save your life!!
