I'M SWIMMING FOR My Grandma - Lourdes Nenette Nepomuceno

When I was in Year 12, my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer. At 17, I thought exams, assignments, and getting into university were the biggest things I had to worry about, but her diagnosis quickly put life into perspective and reminded me that family is what matters most. Watching my grandma face cancer with so much strength, courage, and determination was incredibly inspiring. Nearly ten years later, she's a survivor, and her resilience continues to motivate me every day. That's why I'm swimming 9km this November to raise funds for breast cancer research. It's my way of honouring her journey and supporting the fight against a disease that impacts so many families. If you're able to, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support.
