Support my challenge to swim for breast cancer!

9 people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day.

This November, I am taking part in Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.

I am doing this to raise funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support vital breast cancer research to help save lives.

New cap and goggles....still waiting on my swimmers to arrive but loving the pink in the pool. Only 16 laps to go for this month then I'll start again for the month of November. Hopefully some more fundraising for the next 4wks too. Thanks everyone for all the $$ so far

Didn't take my phone to the pool this morning....instead thought today's message on my calendar was a good one to share. Did 1.1km in my new cap and goggles but you'll have to take my word for it

Bit too cold for the beach so a few laps completed in the pool....not much warmer tho brrrrr

Day 3 - Newcastle baths 1km

A chilly 16 degrees outside the water and 19 degrees in...started with just 2 laps and progressed to 20. Feeling wonderful and refreshed

6am heated yoga class followed by a 1km swim at the Newcastle baths.....then a beautiful warm shower. Feeling grateful to be able to spend my morning like this

Think it's time to increase my distance. 1.3km. Looking forward to some salt water swimming next week

Well I was going to start tomorrow....but with all the donations I've received I felt it was appropriate to start today. Even though it's only 20 degrees and raining brrrrr. Thanks to all of you have donated so far. I'm a woman of my word, so the more money I can raise the more I'll keep swimming.
