The Breast Marathon Ever!
In October, I’ll be running the Melbourne Marathon (yikes!) in the hopes to raise a little (or a lot of) money for Breast Cancer!
Currently, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. When you think about how many women there are in your life, that’s a whole lotta breast cancer. I’ll be running on behalf of my beautiful Nana who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and on behalf of the 1 in 7 women in my life (and yours) who will develop breast cancer in their lifetime
I know first hand how scary it can be when you find a lump in your breast and you jump to the worst case scenario. Working in a field that helps diagnose people with breast cancer every day, sheds light on just how important early screening and detection is, because it can make all the difference! Research is the best way to prevent deaths and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed and treated and the NBCF is changing the game and a great organisation to support!
So, firstly, check your boobs girlies and secondly, if ya wanna support your grandma, mumma, sister or the women in your life that might develop breast cancer over their lifetime, a spare fiver would mean a whole lot!
