In memory of my mum, Squat Challenge for breast cancer research

In November 2024, I lost my beautiful mum.🦩

There isn’t a single day that goes by that I don’t think about her. I still catch myself wanting to ring her to rant about something silly, to tell her something funny that happened, or to share something amazing. And when I’m sad, I still wish I could just hear her voice on the other end of the phone.

Every time I walk past The Coffee Club, I think of our Tuesday coffees and little shopping trips together. Those simple moments mean so much now. I miss her every single day.

That’s why I’m taking on the Squat Challenge for breast cancer research.

Today, 56 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 9 will lose their lives. Behind every number is a family, just like mine, whose world changes forever.

I’m doing this in honour of my mum, and for the 56 Australians and their families who will face this diagnosis today. I want to help fund the research that will save lives, create better treatments, and hopefully prevent other families from experiencing this heartbreak.
