I'm now a Pink Hero
Every day, 9 Aussies pass away from breast cancer. These people are some of the most resilient you’ll find. Their passing reverberates with their families, friends, communities and the teams of doctors, nurses, social workers, orderlies and carers of all kinds who support them.
Recently, my grandma Daphne was one of those 9 Aussies, battling to the very end with a smile. If you asked her how she was feeling, her answer was, invariably, “like a Toohey’s!”.
To carry on her resilient spirit - and that of everyone affected by this disease - I’d love to raise some money for the world-class research of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
For every dollar you put forward, I’ll match it for the first $500!
If (when) we get to $1000, I’ll buzz my head or dye it pink (at the mercy of the folks at my 21st).
