I'm now a Zero Hero
Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 Australians die every day from this disease?
My whole world up ended with four words, "I'm sorry, it's Cancer"
Just seven months ago I was diagnosed with Triple Positive Breast cancer, a whirlwind of appointments, chemotherapy, single mastectomy surgery and part way through radiation, I'm thankful to say I'm one of the lucky ones.
This October, I'm hoping to get back some level of fitness as I work out how to navigate the new me. I'm planning to run 58kms for the 58 people that are diagnosed with Breast Cancer each day. Essentially, it's only 2km per day but after the year from hell, 2km isn't what it use to be!
Research into Breast Cancer is so important, 10 years ago the treatment that I had wasn't even discovered. Treatment so effective I had a complete pathological response!
Any amount big or small is greatly appreciated!
