Breast Cancer is the MOST common cancer diagnosed in Australian women with a lifetime risk of 1 in every 7 women being directly affected. This June I am pledging to cut my hair in support of my Mum. Previously I have participated in the annual fun run and coloured my hair pink. However, this year I will be cutting my waist length hair into a bob. Many women are faced with the gruelling effects of chemotherapy as part of their treatment, often resulting in a change in their appearance. I will be cutting my hair to support the fact that regardless of superficial physical change brought on by cancer treatment, these women are still undeniably strong, both physically and mentally, to beat this devastating disease. She, and all other women diagnosed, is not JUST a women diagnosed with breast cancer, she is brave, she is strong and she is a SUPERWOMAN 🩷
