Bayside Board Beauties Battle Breast Cancer

We know a thing or two about hard moves. Tiny footholds. Big swings. Falling off, getting back on, and trying again. But this June, the battle is bigger than the board.

We’re a crew of climbers from Bayside who figured it was time to fight something that actually matters. So, in true Board Beauties fashion, we’ve buzzed the luscious locks, dyed what’s left bright pink, and are throwing ourselves at a challenge far bigger than the next climb. Because some battles deserve more than chalk and stubbornness.

Every day, 56 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 lives are lost. We’re shaving, colouring, fundraising, and bringing a bit of pink chaos to help fund world-class breast cancer research through the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Climbing has taught us that hard things are easier when you’ve got good people around you - someone to cheer you on, share beta, or help you back up after a fall. Breast cancer is no different. No one should have to face it alone.
