this year i’m making a pledge to GO PINK!!

did you know that every day 57 people in australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people lose their lives to this disease?  

this june, i have made a pledge to wear and dye my hair pink for my nan and granny, and raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help NBCF towards their vision of zero deaths from breast cancer.  

9 years ago i lost my best friend to breast cancer, she was my rock, i loved her more than myself, nan was strong and so absolutely tough, but so was breast cancer, she was the kind of woman who would do anything for anyone at any time, someone you always wanted to be around, she battled so hard for so long and sadly lost her fight back in 2015, but many other women still battle and have battled just as hard as she did today, women like my granny, after losing my nan to breast cancer hearing my granny had it too was heartbreaking and incredibly terrifying, but she did what she does best and she fought and fought and fought and is still standing after it all. breast cancer is tough, breast cancer is scary, but it isn’t unbeatable. together we can help NBCF find the cure.
