I've made a pledge to GO PINK!
Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people die from this disease?
July 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 3, Grade 3, Inflammatory, Aggressive, Invasive Triple Negative Breast Cancer, and tested positive for the BRCA 1 gene.
I had cancer in both of my breasts, I was 29 years old.
Now I am 32, almost 33, living life every single day to the fullest. I have lost both of my breasts, attempted a reconstruction beginning with expanders, however my body rejected them which left me no choice at the time but to have no reconstruction.
Having a bilateral mastectomy changed my entire life. I struggle most days with getting dressed and my confidence changed.
I am a proud survivor of Breast Cancer.
I'd love to raise money for this foundation because I have received ongoing support and I believe everyone should be able to have that on their side.
The research side of things is amazing, more funds are needed because Cancer doesn't discriminate against ages and genders. Men can get breast cancer as well – Just a fun fact for those who weren't aware.
Every dollar counts, but if you're able to, please dig deep and help a fantastic organisation. You never know when yourself or someone you love may need to depend on the knowledge of this foundation.
Since my hair is still growing back, I dont want to shave it again. I've chosen to colour my hair pink. Please support me on my mission to raise funds.
This June, we've made a pledge to WEAR IT, SHAVE IT or COLOUR IT and raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
Please support our GO PINK pledge to save lives and make a difference.
Together, let's make Zero Deaths from breast cancer possible.
