I'm now a Zero Hero
My mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer three times in the last 20 years. She has gone through countless surgeries and treatments and also had a mastectomy. Since her very first diagnosis, she remained strong and was able to get through it gracefully, despite having her body wracked by poisons. Her recoveries were only possible because of the immense amount of research that has gone into fighting and treating breast cancer and I hope that one day the research will progress enough so that no one ever had to feel the pain and dread that cancer can cause.
I have been growing my dreadlocks for eight years and recently decided that it was time for a change. I want to do whatever I can to help this cause and by cutting my hair I will show my support for the fight against breast cancer and raise as much money as possible so we can get down to zero breast cancer deaths in Australia.
