I'm now a Pink Hero
Every day, 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 Australians die every day from this disease.
I've decided to set myself a challenge to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
This October, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I will be taking part in Triathlon Pink. I am not a strong swimmer, haven’t been on a bike in almost a decade, and will be running a marathon the weekend before…so this will challenge me, but it is nothing compared to the fight that so many people face every day with breast cancer. I am pushing myself through the discomfort because I believe in a future without breast cancer, and NBCF is working tirelessly to make that future a reality through life-saving research and prevention.
If you are in a position to donate, even a small amount can make a difference. And if you’re not, your support in any form (a share, a kind word, a cheer from the sidelines) means more than you know.
We’re so proud of you!
