I'm now a Zero Hero
I had an encounter with breast cancer a few years ago. I was swept into a parallel universe - filled with women (I know men can have BC too, I just didn't see any) of all ages, from all walks of life, diagnosed with breast cancer, terrified about their treatment and what the future held. Now that I'm back on my feet, I've decided to colour my hair because I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. Research is the key, so I’m raising funds for more research - I make personal donations monthly too. I'm going blue, with a nod to Sound and Vision by Bowie, the Carlton Football Club and blue is also prominent in my workplace, so I'll fit right in!
I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.
I've set an ambitious target that I'd love to smash, so please tell all your friends, family and colleagues that just as my hair had grown back and was looking better than bald, I decided to make it BLUE!!!
