MyDry30

By Robyn Anns

I'm already there but I'm not stopping now!

Since I started this challenge on 14 June I have been really touched by my friends' support.

I'm truly thankful and even more determined to keep going.  So, no drinkies for me until 16 July.  That's good for my health and, hopefully, earns even more donations for breast cancer research in Australia.

I chose to Give it Up for Breast Cancer and challenge myself to go without alcohol for one month because I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. I believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. To achieve this, I’m raising funds for more research. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that.

Click 'Donate' to make a secure online donation and help me reach my goal. Every donation, big or small, will help me get there. Please donate today.

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and you will be issued with a tax-deductible receipt via email as soon as you make your donation.

Thank you so much for your support!

My Updates

the challenge is still on

Sunday 20th Jun
Well I've exceeded the target well short of the month I set for it, and I hope I might get to $700 or so by the time I finish.
As well as raising funds for vital research (thanks everyone), this challenge is also a bit about me, I think.
It's turning into a journey of self discovery.  I've discovered that I don't like it when I can't have something I want, expect out of habit, or feel somehow entitled to.  By deliberately denying myself the pleasure of a glass of wine I am testing myself. It's not the wine I miss. It's the fact that I can't have it.  Strange.

I'm there already but I'm not stopping now!

Tuesday 15th Jun
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.   We've raised $614 when my target was $500.
I'll keep going because ... why stop now?

Keep looking up people.
