National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is challenging all Australians to join the Quest to Zero Deaths and hold their own Game Day. By choosing a challenge, picking a game(s), setting a date and sharing their fundraising page they will be supporting world-class research that saves lives.
Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females. Every year over 21,000 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer. That’s approximately 58 every single day. Since NBCF’s inception in 1994, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer has increased from 76% to 92% and is still rising. It’s proof that their strategy of investing in world-class research is working. However, it is expected that 9 Australians will lose their lives to breast cancer each day this year – that's 9 mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends, and colleagues.
We're going to PLAY, STREAM or WATCH in support of the thousands of women and men whose lives have been - and will be impacted by breast cancer. Please donate to my page and you’ll be helping the National Breast Cancer Foundation to achieve their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
YOU can make a difference. Support our Game Day and together we can create a future without the fear of breast cancer!
