This June, I've made a pledge to WEAR IT, SHAVE IT or COLOUR IT and raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Grateful everyday

Thursday 25th Apr
Today I heard some stats. That absolutely brought a tear to my eyes.   So, so many people we loose every single day to this thing called “Cancer”.  A word that carries so much power, but not for good.   A word that flows so fluently off all our tongues  but with so much hurt, heartache, scariness, confusion and anger. 
This one word that doesn’t care about sexuality, race, religion, social status, age or any of those other things we believe is important in our world.   It will make you or a loved one sicker then they ever been and make them fight harder then they have ever fight before.   That 1 world - I would love to be removed from all dictionaries, because it’s no longer……. 

Wish for a miracle one day soon

For many of us we know of someone or in some cases are that someone who has been affected by cancer. 
To my my beautiful friend you gave it the fight of its life.  But to see how easily it took an extremely strong women who gave everything to still be here for her boys today. It showed us it was one powerful, non forgiving, evil illness.  
For those who fought and won - we are forever grateful.  For those who fought but lost the battle- you are forever in our heart and minds.  I hope one day we can one of your wishes come true and have the world free of cancer.   But until we meet again, continue to keep a seat for me up there my beautiful friend, we have so much to catch up on.  Miss you everyday.
