To commemorate 10 years since my dear mother, Theresa's passing I will be shaving my head the day after her birthday, Saturday the 2nd of November, 2024 as a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
Mum's birthday falls a day after the conclusion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I have decided to shave the noggin' in her memory, in a hope one day soon, no one will ever have to bury someone so dear from this disease again.
Please support me and my pledge to save lives and make a difference.
Shaving my head won't bring my mother back, shaving my head won't give me a clear insight into her cancer treatment and the hell she went through. However, I hope walking these small steps in her shoes, will honour her, cherish her and perhaps be even just a single step towards a much greater path that ensures no mother will suffer the same torment and no daughter need walk this path in her memory.
Any donation big or small would mean the world. In the case you can't donate, instead just treasure the women you love. Hug your mum, wife, partner, daughter, sister, neice, grandmother, nan, aunt, friend or any boss arse women in your life for me; because f*ck cancer.
