Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people lose their lives to this disease?
As many of you may be aware, our beloved receptionist Jennene has recently received a diagnosis of Grade 3 invasive breast cancer. In support, we are coming together as a Village community to show our support and solidarity.
We invite all staff and residents to participate in a daily walk to raise awareness and contribute to the fight against breast cancer. The walk will take place around the Village grounds, starting at the community centre covering 2 kilometres each day in October from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Your presence and participation will mean a great deal. Please sign up and join us in this meaningful initiative.
We've decided to get active and set ourselves a challenge to walk 58kms in October to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
