I've been saying I'm going to do this for a long time now and here we are, FINALLY!
I am finally doing it! I'm cutting my hair!
I've known too many people in my life that have had cancer, particularly breast cancer, the gene unfortunately runs in the family. This fundraiser is dedicated to my Ninang (Auntie) Pinky, who beat breast cancer last year and my Tita (Auntie) Shine, who has had breast cancer before and is now currently fighting cancer for the second time in her life.
This is huge for me, I'm emotionally attached to my long virgin hair! So to make it even more worthwhile, I'll also be donating my hair to make wigs for those suffering from medically-induced hair-loss conditions.
I'm doing this because I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. I believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. To achieve this, I’m raising funds for more research. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.
I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.
