Hey!!! You've reached Kooka's breast cancer shave page. 

We've been here before, 3 times before, but this time cancer has made it personal.  One of my best friends has been diagnosed with this evil condition and I'm not letting her fight it alone.  

Please donate as much as you can afford.  

My friends and I thank you with all our bums. I'd say all our heart but our butts are bigger!!

I've decided to shave my hair because I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. I believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. To achieve this, I’m raising funds for more research. All donations made to this page will help do exactly that. 

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.

I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.

Today was the day. 

I would like to thank ALL of my sponsors for their donations and my supporters for coming out and cheering me on today at the Manly Creative Markets. 

I was lucky enough to choose a day where the local school bands as well as community bands were having a celebration. 

The music was amazing. Thank you to Steve, the event MC, for encouraging the community to support us.  

Thank you to Karen and the Manager for all your support today.  I really appreciate everything you did for me today.  

Thank you to my personal cheer squad for being there. 

Last but in not means least, to my wonderful family. My always supportive, no matter what the crazy brings, husband Gareth.  
Charlie, who also shaved today, and Harry.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU all for your amazing donations! 

September 19 has come and gone and I still have hair.  I have moved my shave to Sunday October 24 and I'm hoping to be at the Manly Creative markets as I was last time. 

If you would like to come watch, I will be shaving at around 11am but will be offering hair colouring with hair spray before the event for a small donation. 

More updates to come as I find out more.

Although this will be my 4th time shaving, it's actually my most personal. 

Cancer has gone and taken it too far.  Every person that is diagnosed with cancer is one too many.  Two of my tribe have been diagnosed with breast cancer. My mother in law as well as one of my best friends. 

Chemo, radiation, surgeries and hair loss.  

It sucks. 

Let's get this page out there and we can help raise funds to ensure we can get zero deaths from this horrible disease.
