This June, I've made a pledge to WEAR IT, and COLOUR IT to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Today is the last day of Go Pink in June. Instead of a pic I thought I'd share this tile. I was one of the 1 in 7 people, one of my dearest friends also was, as was my aunty and many other people in my life. That's why this is something I do every year, for the people close to me and also for all the people i dont know who are the 1 in 7. Stay strong! A quick reminder that its not too late to donate (info in the comment below) and for those of you who have, remember any donation over $2 is tax deductible. Funky tshirt Friday #2

Today is Funky Tshirt Friday! When i went through my breast cancer diagnosis, lots of people told me i was brave.. i didn't feel it, i was just trying to get through, one day at a time. Do you know who I DO think is brave? All the partners, family and friends who look after you when you are doing your treatments, when you're dealing with the initial diagnosis and support you in all the little ways to make your journey easier. So my tshirt today is for all of the loved ones who support you during a cancer journey. Thank you my family and friends and especially you, Clint, who looked after both us during treatment

In the office for a team day today and i am grateful to my team for the support when i don pink in June.  Whether its a donation, a message telling me that i'm doing a great job or someone telling me a personal experience with breast cancer, i always appreciate the kindness and support from them all.

My story...

Thursday 30th May
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2020. I found my lump myself and rapidly went through surgery and onto treatment during COVID lockdowns. As I went through treatment I was helped by breast care nurses, I benefited by new treatments and ways of going through chemo and radio. Some of these are the result of the work by NBCF, so I am doing this to give back and help someone else's journey hopefully be a little easier.

This year i will be doing Go Pink! I'll be wearing pink every work day,  along with a couple of surprises for you all and posting it a all on Instagram and FB! If you can donate, even a little, I would be very grateful and remember to CHECK YOUR BOOBS!!
