I'm now a Zero Hero
I've decided to shave/cut/colour my hair because I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. I believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. To achieve this, I’m raising funds for more research. All donations made will help us do exactly that.
I have recently found out that a friend has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has started chemotherapy and is losing her hair. My heart aches for her and the many others who have had to face the hardship and trials that come with it. As well as the visible effects such as hair loss, dealing with cancer and its treatments can feel exhausting, expensive, isolating and hopeless.
Right now, my hair sits at my lower back. After January the 9th, if I get to $500, I will cut my hair to a bob. If I get to $800, I will dye it blonde. If I get to $1000, I will put pink in it. If I get to $2000, I will shave it all off! After the chop, I pray that with everyday my hair grows longer, my friend grows stronger.

I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.
