I'm now a Pink Hero
My nan has fought breast cancer three times. She went through a double mastectomy, went through hell and back, and never stopped fighting. But this isn’t just for her.
My dad also had cancer — skin cancer. He survived it, and I’m beyond lucky to still have him here. June is Cancer Survivor Awareness Month, and I want to honour all the people who’ve been through it, no matter the type.
This is for the ones still fighting.
For the ones who survived.
And for the ones who didn’t get the chance.
I’m 19. I’ve got a full head of hair. I can grow it back. Some people don’t get that kind of choice.
So I’m shaving my head to raise money, to show support, and to remind people they’re not alone in this. Whether you donate, share, or just stop to read this — thank you. Every bit helps.
