Did you know that every day 58 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 Australians die every day from this disease?
I’ve decided to shave my head and raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) in its vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
As a breast cancer survivor, I’ve seen the impact this disease can have, not only on myself but also on friends and family. Tragically, some of them were not as fortunate to survive.
If shaving my head can help raise funds for more research and give hope to others, it’s a small sacrifice. Hair grows back - loved ones don’t.
I will be shaving my head on the 27th February.
