Did you know that every day 57 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people lose their lives to this disease?  

This June, I've made a pledge to WEAR IT, SHAVE IT or COLOUR IT and raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help NBCF towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Holiday Hair, yeah yeah

Saturday 15th Jun
It's the first day of holidays so what better time to brighten up the pink hair!! It was starting to fade and look a little too subtle for a FUNDRAISER! The point of this exercise is for people who know me go WFT?! WHY?? Because they know that I'm unlikely to just dye my hair on a whim. The point is to start a conversation and raise awareness that there is still work to be done when it comes to breast cancer research.

I'm nothing if not stubborn, and I made a pledge to #GoPink and a promise to my bestie, so pink I bloody well will go! Attempt No. 4 is under way.

Friday 31st May
We tried!! We really tried! 
We bleached, we applied candy floss pink and..... ended up with a vaguely mulberry colour. We soaked my hair in a hot pink shampoo, and..... Nope! Still not the shocking change that makes people asky "What? Why?!!" 
But I got to hang with my beautiful Mel, the reason I started this challenge. 
I guess a challenge is meant to be a challenge though isn't it? So watch this space for more colouring adventures, I've got until the end of June!
