I've made a pledge to GO PINK!
Late last year, after ten years' cancer free, my wife Bec's DCIF cancer returned. Worse, the biopsy revealed invasive cancer cells this time.
With expert care from her doctor's, and following three operations, she is now cancer free once more.
This type of care was only possible as a result of past research (and the fundraising that made that possible).
Of course, Bec was not alone. Every day 57 people (mostly women) in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer and 9 people lose their lives to this disease?
Our hope that further funds for research can reduce further the incidence and severity of breast cancer patients in the future.
To help this happen, I've made a pledge to wear PINK every day during June to raise funds for world-class breast cancer research to help the National Breast Cancer Foundation towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
