Aidan's Call To Action
My name is Aidan White and I am a student in Year 7. As part of an English assessment "A Call to Action", I am both raising money and awareness towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation. I believe that The National Breast Cancer Foundation is an amazing cause because, with their world-class research, they have improved survival rates from 76% to 91% since 1994, therefore me choosing to raise money and awareness towards it.
I was inspired by the National Breast Cancer Foundation's work because someone close to me passed away due to breast cancer, and I believe that The National Breast Cancer Foundation will reach its goal of 0 deaths by breast cancer by 2030, which will mean no one else will have to suffer the pain of someone close to them dying from breast cancer.
My event is called The Wellness Walk and Research Run, which is run by The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Center, and all the money raised will go to cancer research.
