Why are we raising funds for the NBCF

Every year, for the days of Ayyam-i-Ha, the children and I think of a foundation that we can raise some funds for, usually through a cookie sale. This year they decided to pack some prepacked lollies and sell pre-loved toys. They set the target of 200$. You are all welcome to join us on the day outlined. If you can't join please consider donating anyway. 

Why did we choose the National Breast Cancer Foundation this year?

Last year, a friend very close to my heart was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since coming to terms with the diagnosis she has found the grace the strength to continue to be who she is. A loving daughter, a caring sister, a devoted wife, a loyal friend but most of all, a devoted, lioness of a mother to her sweet, sweet child. It seems only natural that this years fundraiser is in her honour and because we want her to know that miracles do happen. 

While this is close to home, I do believe that every death from breast cancer is one too many. Which is why I hope you will be able to support the research the NBCF through a monitory donation, no matter how great or small.

NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
