I'm now a Zero Hero
For the past 5 years I have run a secondhand shop through my Taekwondo dojang. I collect old uniforms, wash, mend and store them and sell them on at affordable prices to members, I take no money whatsoever and donate it at the end of the year in loving memory of Semra Manav, the late wife of our Grand Master Ridvan Manav.
To date I have donated $4900 and counting.
Due to covid this year things have been a little slow, I need a haircut and this seems like a perfect opportunity to tie the two things in.
I will be shaving my head, with all the money going to this cause.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.
I really believe research is the best way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. NBCF is working towards one goal: zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. Together we can help them get there.
