Stepping Up to Zero
My 300km challenge for the National Breast Cancer Foundation
Every day, 58 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer, and tragically, 9 lives are lost. I'm taking on a challenge to help change that, by walking and fundraising to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and their mission of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
As part of my team, Stepping Up to Zero, I’ve committed to walking 300km between now and the end of October to raise vital funds, and I need your support to reach my fundraising goal.
Your donation will go directly to world-class breast cancer research, research that aims to improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately, save lives.
NBCF is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding breast cancer research, and they receive no government funding. Every dollar you give brings us one step closer to stopping breast cancer from taking the people we love.
With your help, we can create a future where no one dies from breast cancer.
It’s all of us against breast cancer.
Are you with me?
Please donate to my fundraiser today. Every step, and every dollar, counts.

																									Thank you for the support
Friday 31st Oct Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this challenge. This challenge is so so close to my heart.
																									Why these challenges matter
Monday 13th OctOver the past several weeks, I’ve been surrounded by powerful, strong, brave, and utterly inspiring women. Women who have faced breast cancer head on, supported loved ones through the journey, or carried the heartbreak of loss with grace and courage. Their strength is the purpose behind my decision to take on this challenge for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), to raise awareness, to honour their stories, and to give my own fitness a greater purpose.
Since starting this journey on September 7th, I’ve walked 250km towards my goal of 300km by the end of October. Every step a small act of love, hope, and determination. Together, as a team, we’ve raised $743, and I’m so proud to share that my personal contribution stands at $689! Every cent raised goes directly to life-changing research and vital support services for breast cancer warriors across Australia.
In Australia, one in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Survival rates have improved significantly thanks to incredible advances in research, metastatic (or stage IV) breast cancer, however when the cancer spreads beyond the breast, remains incurable. Around 3 in 10 women diagnosed with early stage breast cancer will later develop metastatic, and approximately 1,500 Australians lose their lives to it each year.
Metastatic breast cancer doesn’t just affect the body; it challenges every part of life, physically, emotionally, and mentally. Survivors and fighters face daily hurdles that many of us never see, ongoing treatments, fatigue, pain, fear, and the emotional journey. Their resilience is the reason we keep walking, fundraising, and fighting for better
I encourage you to fight with us as a team. Join our challenge like this one and give your fitness purpose or donate, because every dollar truly makes a difference in funding world class research and support services.
If you’d like to join my team and step up to the cause, you can do that right here:

I’m fiercely passionate about raising funds for breast cancer research. I hope that we can see a future of achieving ZERO deaths from breast cancer. It starts with conversations (no mnatter how confronting or difficult) with awareness, empathy, and action. Whether you walk, talk, donate, or simply share a post, every effort counts.

																									Staying focused
Thursday 25th SepI’m now three weeks into my 300km challenge for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and I've just hit the 120km mark. Physically, it hasn’t been too tough. Mentally every step is reminding me why I am doing this and it's purpose.
This isn’t about the kilometres. It's about walking in honour of those close to me who are facing their own experiences with breast cancer and doing so with strength and courage. Watching their journey unfold has been deeply humbling. Their resilience in the face of fear, pain, and uncertainty has given me a new perspective on what really matters.
Life is short, and too often, we take it for granted.
I don’t always have the perfect words, but my heart is always in the right place. I wish I could take the pain away or carry the burden for them. While I can’t do that, I can keep moving. I can keep pushing. I can keep showing up.
If my small steps can help fund research, change outcomes, or offer hope to just one person, then I’ll keep going.
Because every step is a step closer to a cure. And I truly believe that.
I am sitting at $383 of my $1500 goal and I am hopeful I can reach this by the end of October. I will continue sharing and showing up.
