About the Challenge
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) and an important time for NBCF to highlight why research in this area is so crucial. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 9 people losing their lives to the disease every day. The only way to stop deaths from breast cancer is by funding research.
This October the NBCF Sport Fundraising team have decided that as well as supporting all the amazing fundraisers we have during BCAM, they are also going to become NBCF fundraisers themselves.
Alice, Izzie and Nina have committed to running 5km every day throughout the month to raise money for breast cancer research. They are looking for a team of people to join them and challenge themselves during BCAM.

ALICE
“My mum and nan have both been through breast cancer, this year they celebrated my nan’s 80th birthday together back in the UK, I truly believe that without research they would have not been celebrating this milestone - that is why I have committed to running 5km a day this October for breast cancer research”
NINA
IZZIE
“I grew up with a mum going through cancer and had insight into the power of research. I am also continuously inspired by our amazing fundraisers, whose strength and commitment to NBCF’s goal of zero deaths from breast cancer has motivated me to complete 5km a day throughout October”
